Kuzure-kami-shiho-gatame
Kuzure-kami-shiho-gatame is a modified upper four-quarter hold. From a diagonal position above Uke's head, Tori traps one arm against the torso, reaches beneath the other shoulder to the belt or jacket, and pins the upper body with low chest pressure.

Movement sequence
- Approach diagonally from above Uke's head and capture the near arm against your side.
- Pass the opposite arm beneath Uke's far shoulder to secure the belt or jacket near the waist.
- Draw Uke inward, lower the chest, and spread the legs so your base can follow Uke's turning attempts.
- Keep the pressure responsive rather than rigid, protect Uke's face and breathing, and release when Mate is called.
