Hane-goshi

Movement sequence

  1. Lift and draw Uke forward, then turn in with the support foot stable and hips close.
  2. Bend the throwing leg and place its outside line against the inside of Uke's leg.
  3. Spring the hip and leg upward together as the grips rotate Uke forward and down.
  4. Maintain the controlling grip, guide Uke to a safe landing, and practise the action under qualified supervision.
