Tsurikomi-goshi
Tsurikomi-goshi is a lifting-pulling hip throw. Tori lifts with a high lapel grip, draws Uke forward, turns deeply, and places the hips below Uke before rotating Uke over the back of the hip.

Movement sequence
- Lift with the lapel hand and draw with the sleeve so Uke rises onto the toes.
- Turn in close with bent knees and place the hips below Uke's center of gravity.
- Continue the lifting-pulling action as the legs extend and the torso rotates through the throw.
- Maintain the controlling grip, guide Uke to a safe landing, and practise the action under qualified supervision.
