Harai-tsurikomi-ashi
Harai-tsurikomi-ashi is a sweeping lifting-pulling foot throw. Tori lifts and draws Uke forward, then sweeps the front of Uke's ankle upward and outward with the sole as the hands rotate Uke into the open space.

Movement sequence
- Create forward off-balance with a clear lifting action from the lapel hand and pull from the sleeve.
- Meet the front of Uke's light ankle with the sole of your sweeping foot.
- Sweep in a rising arc while the grips continue lifting and turning Uke over the removed support.
- Maintain the controlling grip, guide Uke to a safe landing, and practise the action under qualified supervision.
