Ko-soto-gari
Ko-soto-gari is a minor outer reap. Tori breaks Uke's balance backward, attacks the outside of Uke's loaded heel with the opposite foot, and reaps the support while the hands direct Uke toward the rear corner.

Movement sequence
- Place Uke's weight on the heel you will reap and keep Uke's posture contained.
- Step close and contact the outside-back of the heel with the sole or heel of your reaping foot.
- Reap the foot away as the hands guide Uke backward and down, then retain sleeve control.
- Maintain the controlling grip, guide Uke to a safe landing, and practise the action under qualified supervision.
