Ko-uchi-makikomi

Ko-uchi-makikomi is a minor inner wraparound throw. Tori breaks Uke's balance backward, hooks Uke's leg from the inside, traps the near arm, and drives forward into a wrapping fall that carries Uke over the attacked support.

Movement sequence

  1. Load Uke onto the target leg and secure the near arm tightly against your body.
  2. Hook the target leg from the inside as you lower your level and close the torso connection.
  3. Drive and rotate forward into a controlled wraparound finish, protecting both knees and Uke's landing.
  4. Maintain the controlling grip, guide Uke to a safe landing, and practise the action under qualified supervision.
