O-soto-makikomi
O-soto-makikomi is a major outer wraparound throw. Tori enters for o-soto-gari, traps Uke's arm beneath the armpit, and continues the reap into a body wrap and controlled side fall.

Movement sequence
- Break Uke backward and begin the outside leg action of o-soto-gari.
- Clamp Uke's near arm and close the shoulder and hip space as Uke resists.
- Continue the reap and rotation into a side fall without landing your full weight across Uke's torso.
- Maintain the controlling grip, guide Uke to a safe landing, and practise the action under qualified supervision.
