Uchi-makikomi
Uchi-makikomi is an inner wraparound throw. Tori breaks Uke's balance forward, controls Uke's arm from the inside, turns the hips deeply across, and wraps Uke around the body during a controlled side fall.

Movement sequence
- Draw Uke forward and secure the near arm from the inside against your upper body.
- Turn deeply across Uke with close chest and hip connection.
- Continue the rotation into the mat while carrying Uke around your torso and protecting the landing.
- Maintain the controlling grip, guide Uke to a safe landing, and practise the action under qualified supervision.
Safety and training context
Use this page to prepare for coached practice, not as a substitute for instruction. Throws, locks, and strangles require appropriate experience, a qualified partner, safe matting, and direct supervision.
